Welcome to my blog, This Morning With Her.  My inspiration for my blog came from my favorite quote by Johnny Cash,  “this morning with her, having coffee” – when asked for his description of paradise, as he was talking about his sweet wife, June Carter.

If you’ve never heard of Johnny Cash or June Carter, I dare you to watch the movie Walk the Line.

They are not only legends in country music, but their love story is one for the books. It’s exciting, hard, trying, and completely and utterly filled with passion. It’s the stuff they make movies about, lol.

My love for country music started at a young age…probably around three years old. My mother had such a beautiful voice and I could always count on hearing it reverberate through the walls of my childhood home. Maybe that’s where my deep love of music came from. I’m not one to just listen to music; words resonate with my heart and soul.  Music has had and will continue to have a huge impact in my life. It has gotten me through hard times, lifted my spirit when I’ve been down, and continues to remind me of love not lost as I walk through this journey of life.

But my blog isn’t all about music… It’s something much deeper than that; may it be expressed through my passion, charisma, or fire for life. I promise you this, my blog will be raw, real, and deep.
